Sonics shine in district qualifier
After three days of competition, the hosting Sonics team produced an impressive array of results across all divisions. Here’s a summary of all the award winners:
Primary Girls
Hannah Nicholas: 200m – 5th, 4×100 relay – 1st
Tia Mitchell: 400m – 3rd, 800m – 1st, 4×100 relay – 1st
Trinity Pretlow: 400m – 5th, 4×100 relay – 1st
Nylah Raspberry: 400m – 6th, 800m – 2nd, 4×100 relay – 1st

Sonics prepare for district qualifier meet
The Houston Sonics annual meet, which will also serve as the district qualifier meet this year, takes place this week at Klein Collins High School Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Athletes who wish to compete in the national qualifier meet later this month must first participate in this meet. The event schedule can be found here:
Also, parents of Sonics team members are encouraged to volunteer for any of the various roles needed to be filled at this meet. Contact Alisha McAfee if you are interested in helping.
