The Sonics medal streak continues on Day 3 as Michelle Mayer won Sonics’ fifth Junior Olympics medal in three days with her 7th place finish in the 12-year old girls 800 meter run. Her time of 2:25.92 was a personal best. See the final results here.
Later in the afternoon, the Sonics 9-10 girls 4×400 relay team put themselves in position to medal by running the third fastest qualifying time in the preliminary round. The finals will take place on Saturday afternoon.
