Hello, Sonics family! I pray that all is well with you all. Our Fundraising Committee is at it again. Many people said they did not get to participate in the first round of popcorn sales, so we are going to have another round. Please see the attached flyer. Print it and visit with your family and friends to solicit for our Just Poppin fundraiser. All bags of popcorn are $7 and the money and forms should be turned in December 15 at our Town and Country Fuddruckers fundraiser dinner.
If you missed our last event at Fuddruckers, it gives us a chance to socialize with one another, get something good to eat, and they give us 20% of the proceeds… just for having a great time! The event will be December 15 at 6 p.m. Fuddruckers in Town & Country (our attempt at a half-way destination for North-siders and South-siders. The restaurant is located at 10500 Town and Country Way Houston, TX 77024 (I-10 East on the south side, just east of the Sam Houston toll way at the Gessner exit).
The January fundraiser… or as Tom Joyner says, “Party With a Purpose”… will take place January 31 (tickets for the event will be available at the Fuddruckers event). The January, Mardi Gras-themed party, will be a place for Sonics’ parents, family and friends, to let your hair down and party before we get this darn track season started!!!! You know we are all too tired to party during the season! J Time and location will be communicated soon.
I want to thank Candy Fields, Monica Silverand, Angela Raspberry and Sharita Lane (I apologize if I left anyone out) for working tirelessly to get additional funds for our track club and for our athletes. Make sure you check with them to sign the necessary paperwork and know the expectations of all in involved.
