Tia Mitchell finished in 6th place in the 10-year old girls 400 meter dash, Sonics’ third medalist in two days. Her time of 1:05.82 was a PR by more than a full second. View the final results here.
Sonics also had a couple of near misses with Michelle Mayer’s 9th place finish in the 12-year old girls 1500 meter run and Cesley Williams’ 10th place finish in the 11-year old girls 400 meter dash. Both efforts were big PRs with Michelle knocking six seconds off her best 1500 time and Cesley taking more than a full second off her 400 time.
